嫁の出産122 ～突然変異はありえるのか？～

娘が生まれて１ヶ月と７日。

前回のブログでも書いたが、とにかく、とにかくデカくなっている。

産まれたときが約３２００グラムだったのが、今ではすでに約５０００グラムに迫ろうかとしている。

身長も＋７センチほど伸び、先日付き添って行った１ヶ月検診のときには、来ている１ヶ月の赤ちゃんの中でもダントツにデカく、伸び率も高かった。

このまま行けば、確実にデカい女子になる。

もちろん、縦に長くはいくらでもなっていいし、もし横に大きくなり始めたらそれは否応なく止めにかかる。

というか、確かにボクは１８０センチの６５キロなので、まぁ、普通の男子より多少大きい感じではある。

しかしながら、嫁は１５８センチの５２キロと、ごくごく普通の女子。

そんな二人の子供が、しかも女の子が、デカくなる可能性はあるのだろうか？

隔世遺伝とも考えたが、ボクの知る先祖にもデカい人はおらず、嫁のおじいちゃんおばあちゃんも、どちらかと言えば小柄な人たち。

突然変異なんてあるのだろうか――いや、待て。

そういえば、ボク自身が多少の突然変異なのかもしれない、と思い返した。

ボクの親父は小学生の頃に離婚して出て行ったが、１７０センチほどの中肉中背。

母親の弟の叔父さんも１６５センチほどの中肉中背。

その息子たち、従兄弟の男子２人も１７０センチ未満。

そしてボクの兄貴も１７２センチだという。

そんな中、なぜかボクだけ、小学生からずっとサッカーをしていて足にはゴリゴリの筋肉がついているにも関わらず、１８０センチを少し超えている。

そうか、ボクが突然変異なのかもしれない。

ということは、娘はボクの突然変異の遺伝子をモロに受け継いだのかもしれない。

いい。縦にデカくなる分には、どんどんなれ。
