嫁の妊娠102 ～茅ヶ崎の海はイイ～

昨日の土曜日、里帰りしている嫁の実家に迎えに行き、車で茅ヶ崎まで行った。

嫁の実家からは関越道に乗り、圏央道に入って一直線に南下。

１度サービスエリアに寄り道し、およそ３時間かけて無事に茅ヶ崎のサザンビーチ付近に到着。

カーナビは２時間弱と示していたのだが、出発が昼前だったのでかなりの渋滞に巻き込まれた。

まぁそれはいいとして、昼ご飯を食べようとなり、嫁が８年前の雑誌で見つけた海近くの定食屋に行くことに。

その雑誌というのも、嫁の妹の妹、旅行好きの三女が買って置いておいたもの。

８年前なのでもしかしたらもしかするかも……と２人で予想しながら向かうと、そこに店はあった。

しかも、昼を少し過ぎているのに、７～８名の行列ができている。

道はわかりやすく、専用駐車場に車を停め、いざ店へ。

店の前にある待ち合い表には、いつものように本名ではなく「伊集院」と書く。

何がしたいわけでもないが、ボクはこういう場合、少し珍しい名前を書いて密かに楽しむ。

そんなこんなで店前の待合小屋で待っていると、「伊集院さーん」と声がかかり、一瞬迷い、そうだそうだと店の中へ。

ボクはすぐさま、シラス尽くし定食を頼み、嫁はなぜかシラスグラタンなるものを頼んだ。

なんでも、その８年前の雑誌に特集されていたのが、そのシラスグラタンで、食べてみたいと思っていたと。

いいじゃないか、なんかその感じ。なんでも好きなものを食べなさい。

グラタンは注文を受けてからちゃんとオーブンで焼いているようで、ボクのシラス尽くし定食が先に来た。

誰に対してもそうだが、ボクは熱いものは熱いうちに、冷たいものは冷たいうちに、が心情なので、グラタンを待っている妊娠９カ月の嫁をよそに食べ始める。

シラスの天ぷら、生シラスの刺し身、シラスの茶わん蒸し、カニのお味噌汁、白飯。

中々の量で、ザクザクと全てを一口ずつまず食べ始め……とんでもなく美味い。

カホコで言うところの、すんばらしく美味しい。こんなの初めて。

というか、食べてみて、ボクは本当に生シラスに関しては生まれて初めて食べたのだと確信した。

とにかく全てが美味くて、白ごはんも１回までならおかわり無料で、とにかく至福以外の何ものでもない。

と思っていると、そこに嫁のシラスグラタンが運ばれてきた。

実は内心、こんな和食の定食屋で出すグラタンなんて、どうせ普通のグラタンにシラスをぶち込んだだけのぬるい代物だろうと高をくくっていた。

しかしながら、嫁の目の前には、茶色のグラタン皿の中でまだフツフツと煮えたぎっているチーズが踊っていた。

プチトマトも４つが均等にトッピングされ、見た目も素晴らしい。

ボクの豪快な食べっぷりを見ていた嫁は、待ってましたとばかりにかぶりついた。

アツアツアツアツ、ハフハフハフハフ、と熱そうに食べ、そして一言。

「美味しい」

しかしながら、嫁は結構何でも美味しいと言うタイプなのでボクも一口だけ……すんばらしく美味しい。こんなの初めて。

アツアツ好きのボクですら熱いと思ってしまうほどの熱さもそうだが、ホワイトソースも食材もチーズも、量味共にバランスがいい。

そしてなんといってもこれでもかとぶち込まれているシラスが普通のグラタンにはない風味と旨味をプラスしている。

この世にはあまり正解はないと聞いたが、これは間違いなく正解のグラタン。

本当に美味しいシラスを食べることができて、ボクも嫁も大満足でサザンビーチへ向かった。

そこでも楽しいことがたくさんあったのだが、それはまた別の話。

◆Wife's pregnancy102　～Good Ocean in chigasaki～
